hello!
I’m Kathryn, a graphic designer currently living in North Carolina and originally from Idaho.
I’ve long called myself a “visual designer,” inspired by traditional art, photography, film, and vintage graphic design to pull together the projects that I work on. I don’t like to narrow my focus too much and believe that any piece can be elevated by going through the hands of a designer. I love to work on a variety of types of work and create exactly what it is that a client is looking for.
I graduated from Elon University with a degree in Communication Design and a minor in Literature. While there, I had the chance to work and serve as the Creative Director for our on campus agency, Live Oak. That early hands-on approach has been the backbone of my career as I moved from traditional in-house work in Washington DC, to full-time freelancer, and now back to working full-time again as the Senior Graphic Designer at consulting firm, Berkeley Research Group.
My work has covered a variety of kinds, from political fundraising and (successful!) local campaigns, to TV show pitch packages and corporate white papers, all of the way to character portraits for Dungeon & Dragons campaigns.
When I’m not designing, I have a passion for photography, illustrating, over analyzing films, and am in a constant state of preparation for Halloween.
